The Thresherman's Show

This past Saturday we all went to The TN/KY Annual Thresherman's Show. Adriana had a blast watching the parade and playing with her friends while Carsten just enjoyed his ride in the stroller and friends holding him!

Getting settled at home!

We got home from the hospital on Thursday June 9th, at around 1:00 PM. We couldn't wait to get settled in and see how Adriana would react meeting her new brother for the first time!

She loves her little brother! She tries to help out so much with him. If he cries sometimes she will cover him up with his blankie, or try to give him his pacifier. Of course as good as she is with him she gets brave and tries to pick him up.. which gives Mommy a heart attack!

Carsten is a month old now and is finally getting settled into a routine. We are using a special (expensive!) formula for him since he was a little colicky and had some sensitivity to his original formula. He's getting better at sleeping at night averaging around 4 to 5 hours at a time. He is smiling and cooing now. He loves to watch Adriana, and LOVES it when she rubs his head. I think he's just fascinated with her. Thankfully he is finally ok with being in his swing, or just sitting by himself for awhile without screaming! Now he loves to just sit there and look around, making sure to check everything out. We can't wait to see where life continues to take us!

Carsten's here! A little about his birth!

We were scheduled to arrive at Gateway Medical Center at 6 am on June 7th. When we arrived they immediately hooked me up to everything and started my pitocin. Around noon we started getting some visitors who couldn't wait to meet baby Carsten!

Carsten Neal Robinson was born at 2:55 PM weighing 7 lbs 6 oz!! I would love to say everything went smoothly but my epidural did not work as needed so I pretty much had a natural labor unless you count my legs being numb! Of course it was all worth it once I saw him!
                              


                              
                              

Adriana was at home with our good friend Jenn watching her, they were having a fun time watching all kinds of good cartoons! :) My parents went to get Adriana to take her to see us.. she was a little scared and clinged to me when she first saw me.. which she has never done before! It was her first time in an elevator and in the hospital so who wouldn't be scared!?

So, now's a funny story! My parents brought Adriana to the hospital but.. unfortunately forgot to grab some diapers! Adriana needed a new diaper.. so what do you do when you don't have any! You make your own with good ole hospital pads!

It's been awhile

It's been awhile since I've posted. Not too much is new.. Adriana's getting bigger and saying a new word everyday. She's too smart for her own good sometimes! She loves torturing our dog, Petty, by trying to ride him like a horse and dragging him around by his collar. I'm so glad he is patient and laid back when it comes to her.
I really can't believe she will be 2 soon! We've decided on her birthday theme.. now we are just trying to figure out how we are going to fit everyone in our house.

My pregnancy is going well, I still haven't been back to the doctor since before my ultrasound. My next doctors appointment is the 15th, I'm anxious to hear the results of the ultrasound...  I'm assuming no news is good news. Surely if something was wrong they would have told me already. My bellys getting bigger and bigger. I think I get worn out easier and I am more sore this pregnancy. Here's a picture of me and my belly taken a month ago, it's grown a bit since this but you get the idea. (don't mind the serious face and no makeup. It was early in the morning and I swear the night before my stomach wasn't this big.. so I was in shock and had to take a picture for the BFF)

BOY!!

Well, we went to the ultrasound yesterday and found out we are having a BOY! We are so truly blessed. Now comes the rough task of finding a name. I am excited to be able to start picking the paint colors and decorating.

For anyone interested in getting any baby items (we are not having a shower) we are registered at Target, Babies R Us, and Walmart.  Just search for either Niki Robinson or Wade Robinson. Thankyou!! And of course if you don't know what to get diapers are always great. :)
